So this is just a little update incase anyone happens to come upon the blog and are curious about what has happened since our return.
1. We have sadly sold Second Wind
2. Sal and I moved to Ottawa and have become contributing members to society
3. I wrote an article and it has recently been published in the magazine 'Small Craft Advisor' (if you want to check it out, it is the March/April issue #74)
4. I have purchased a slightly larger sailboat that I'm very excited to bring home, spruce up and begin a series of smaller cruises in and around nearby cruising grounds
5. I have also started up another blog, where I intend to document sailing adventures in my new boat. It is still in the beginning phases but if you would like to check it out here's the link:

So this is the plan... September we are going to leave on a sailing voyage to the bahamas. We will be going in a 23' sailboat. My parents are accompanying us on a 30' sailboat. I have some sailing experience and my boyfriend limited. This is where we will share stories of our crazy journey.

ReplyDeleteDear Kerry and Sal, this was a very good read from start to finish. You have selected a fine boat in the Voyager as I have admired this design for many years myself. I have just purchase a Rob Roy in need of some TLC, ordered a new suit of sails as the current set was like rice paper. Lots of cleaning up to do. Maybe someday our paths will cross. Currently sail Lake Sakakawea in North Dakota. Thanks for remaing faithfull to your blog, once again, I found it very consuming.
